About 92.1

Our studio and equipment are brand new, however our story, our listener-ship and our commitment to his area span two decades.  Owner and morning show host Scott James began serving our radio market in 1989 as a disc jockey, programmer, and then station manager.  His commitment to Valdosta grew through the years, as did his determination to super-serve the region.  He wanted to see a station that centered on the community, keeping residents in the know about events that shaped their world, in a format that offered a topical, up to date, conversational platform.

The culmination of Scott’s vision arrived with the availability of a local radio station to purchase, which gave us Talk 92.1.  Live, local programming is our backbone.  Scott has his hand on the pulse of the area and wakes up Valdosta with “no fluff” up-to-the-minute commentary.  He features guests ranging from Relay-For-Life volunteers to a standing bi-weekly, in-studio conversation with Mayor John Gaylei.  Additional “Local Lifestyle” shows air 2-3PM and 6-8PM daily.  Conservative national show hosts, Laura Ingraham, Mike Huckabee, Clark Howard and Jerry Doyle round out the programming, allowing Talk 92.1 to deliver a strong, adult listener profile to area advertisers.

While we are too new to have been part of any ratings period, our advertisers tell us the same thing that the Radio Advertising Bureau says about the TALK radio format.  We deliver affluent, educated adults to our customer’s doorsteps.
