Counterfeiter arrested in Valdosta

  A suspected counterfeiter has been arrested in Valdosta.

A tip about fake  money resulted in  Lowndes County Sheriff’s deputies and Secret Service agents raiding a home Wednesday on Shroer Drive in Valdosta.   A copy machine and printer with currency templates, some remnanants of printed currency and  marijuana were seized during a search of the residence.

Jonathan Scott Moody was arrested and charged with several counts of forgery first degree and possession of tools for committing a crime. He was booked into the Lowndes County Jail and is not eligible for bail. More arrests are possible.
