Former Lakeland PD Chiefs settle suit

Two former city of Lakeland Police cheifs have settled their law suit against the city of Lakeland, Mayor Bill Darsey,  and four council members.

Robbie Grantham & Kevin Trollinger alleged that they were fired when they refused to target and arrest political opponents of Mayor Darsey. The quarter million dollar settlement was approved 4-1 by the Lakeland City council last night. Attourney Trent Coggins said that the chiefs felt vindicated by the settlement and are pleased that the long fought victory is over.
