VALDOSTA — The Valdosta State athletic department has kicked off its 2012 fall sports season ticket renewal period.

Blazer fans who had football season tickets in 2011 have until Aug. 3 to renew their season tickets for the same seats they had.

Valdosta State football season tickets for 2012 are $85 for adults, $75 for VSU faculty and staff members and senior citizens 65 years old and older and $55 for children 5-16 years old. Season tickets will be mailed on Aug. 6. Any season tickets not renewed by the Aug. 3 deadline will be released for sale to other fans.

Any person wishing to purchase new season tickets can do so at this time. However, only the seats not sold in 2011 will be available for purchase until Aug. 3.

Fans can also purchase the Blazer Sports Pass, which includes reserved seats for Valdosta State football and basketball games, as well as soccer and volleyball season tickets and general admission to all other venues. The Blazer Sports Pass is $210 for adults, $160 for VSU faculty and staff members and senior citizens ages 65 and over and $110 for children 5-16 years old.

Valdosta State soccer season tickets can be purchased for $20 for adults and $10 for VSU faculty and staff, fans 65 and over and youths between the ages of five and 16 years old. Volleyball season tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for everyone else.

Blazer fans can print a season ticket order form off of the VSU athletics website (www.vstateblazers.com), and mail it with their payment to the VSU athletics ticket office. Or they can visit the VSU ticket office, which is located in the P.E. Complex. Fans can purchase their tickets with a credit card at the VSU ticket office.

The Valdosta State football team will kick off its 2012 home schedule on Sept. 8 with a 7 p.m. game against Fort Valley State at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium.

The Blazer soccer team opens at home on Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. against Coker. The VSU volleyball team plays its first home matches in the Fairfield Inn and Suites Azalea Classic on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at The Complex.
